THE BLACK IRON BRIDGE


Between Pelsall Works Bridge at Wood Lane and The Red Iron Bridge is a cutaway section in the side of the canal,
this is where the Massive Black Iron Bridge once stood.The bridge contained a railtrack which allowed locomotives to go
in and out of the iron works.The track ran back across the common,down Highfield Road North,across
Wolverhampton Road & down Highfield Road, across to & down Ryders Hayes Lane to the main line.
