Margaret Mundy called in to see us at Pelsall History Centre recently. Margaret is better known in Pelsall by her maiden name Margaret Chilton. Margaret was born on the Wolverhampton Road and went to St Michael’s Junior School Pelsall and then to Pelsall Secondary School. At 17 she left the village to join the Air Force, after travelling the world she now resides in Askern, Yorkshire. She is one of Nine siblings, John, Elizabeth, Allan, Ron, Jimmy, Dennis (Fred), Margaret, Doris and George. She often visits relatives in Pelsall, and enjoys coming back to her roots.
