Three generations of the Matthews family visited the history centre and spent an afternoon listening to the memories of Alfred Matthews who was born in Highbridge Row and lived in Pelsall for 50 years before moving to Dilhorne, Cheadle Staffordshire. Alfred said "it was a wonderful afternoon reliving my childhood". Great niece Rachel, a professional actress now residing in London, said "I'm fascinated to listen to my Great Uncle and see the village where he was born".
